BAM(8-22),又称牛肾上腺髓质 8-22,是一种内源性肽,最初从牛肾上腺髓质中分离出来,是感觉神经元特异性受体(SNSR3 和 SNSR4)的强效激动剂,这两种受体是灵长类特有的蛋白质,仅在初级感觉神经元中表达,其对 SNSR3 和 SNSR4 的半数有效浓度分别为 28 和 14 纳摩尔。BAM(8-22)能抑制大鼠吗啡耐受的发展,并通过与 NMDA 受体相互作用发挥脊髓镇痛作用。它还能阻断炎症性疼痛、化学性疼痛,并以阿片类药物非依赖的方式下调脊髓 c-fos 基因的表达。在人类中,BAM(8-22)能以组胺非依赖的方式引起瘙痒和伤害性感觉。

BAM (8-22), also known as bovine adrenal medulla 8-22, is an endogenous peptide that was first isolated from bovine adrenal medulla and is a potent agonist for sensory neuron specific receptors, primate-specific proteins that are exclusively expressed in primary sensory neurons, with EC50 values of 28 and 14 nM for SNSR3 and SNSR4 respectively. BAM (8-22) inhibits development of morphine tolerance in rats and exerts spinal analgesic effects by an interaction with NMDA receptors. It also blocks inflammatory pain, chemical pain and downregulates the expression of spinal c-fos gene in an opioid-independent manner. In humans BAM (8-22) produces itch and nociceptive sensations in a histamine independent manner.
